Caravan Tote Bag - Bhujodi & Leather

 

This bag is made from artisan handwoven cloth - the woven weft design sings with traditional motifs - and it is finished with hand-tooled leather details and a long lasting leather bottom. It is quite spacious with an inside pocket, and the interior is lined with traditional Dabu block printed cloth. It can hold a little or a lot - it's up to you. 

This bag is the result of bringing two great artisan communities together. Leatherworkers from Central Rajasthan (Jawaja leatherworkers) and weavers from the western Kachchh Desert (Vankar weavers of bhujodi). This is more than just a bag, it is an example of artisans working together to create beautiful, exceptional pieces.
