A fine hand-woven shawl from master weavers in the Kachchh desert of India. It is patterned with the distinctive tie-resist method known as bandhani. Artisans pinch a small portion of cloth and then tightly hand-tie the peak with thread. The tight threads resist the dye when the piece is immersed in a dyebath.

Process: Handwoven wool, hand tied by master bandhani artisans in Kachchh, India.
Size is approx. 48" x 96"
Care Instructions: Hand wash with cool water, mild pH neutral liquid soap. Hang to dry.
Recommended detergents: Ecos, Eucalan, or a mild liquid detergent no higher than pH 7.
